2) CONDITIONS IN INDONESIA

In Indonesia, standards of accommodation, transport, safety, hygiene, medical facilities and other infrastructure may, at times, be lower than those that you would normally expect. Please bear this in mind when making your booking.

Despite being carefully selected, the internship sites may not always adhere to the standards of occupational health and safety that are required of Australian organizations. Therefore, it is the responsibility of participants to ensure that they are comfortable partaking in any activity that is requested by their host organization. If participants are not happy with any of the conditions of their worksite, it is their responsibility to contact an Indonesian Employee and all efforts will be made to resolve the issue. Under no circumstances will any participant be forced by any means to work in an environment that they consider unsafe.

At any point in time, travelers to Indonesia will potentially be subject to risk of injury, psychological trauma, disease, loss or damage to property, inconvenience or discomfort. In particular, in recent times, the potential of a terrorism attack in Indonesia has been identified by the Australian government. For this reason, please take the time to acquaint yourself with the travel advice provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, which can be found at: www.smartraveller.gov.au/zw-cgi/view/Advice/Indonesia . By booking with Indonesian Internships, you are confirming that you have read and fully understand the information provided on this page.
