Jack McNaught Program Facilitator in Australia
Jack will be your first point of contact within Australia and will help you to ensure that everything is ready to go when your program begins. If you are wishing to obtain a credit point, he will also be the one to help you organize this with your university. Jack has a wide range of experience living and working in Australia and Indonesia, as well as much of the rest of the world. Currently lecturing at Deakin University in Victoria, he has also lectured at MIBT Indonesia, in Jakarta, and has spent time volunteering with Indonesian Development of Education and Permaculture (IDEP), in Bali. Some highlights of his time with IDEP were his roles as Director of a grant from Aus Aid to help small businesses in Bali to become established, and Finance Director in the Aceh relief effort, which involved time in Aceh to oversee aid distribution in the weeks following the tsunami.
In Country Manager
Wawan is responsible for running the program in Jogja. He sources the internships sites and helps them to prepare for your arrival, organizes the orientation before the internships commence, and organizes your transportation and accommodation during the program. Wawan is a long-time resident of Jogja, having completed two university degrees; a Bachelor of Law, majoring in International Law, and a Diploma or Tourism Management. He has since worked as a Lecturer in the International Program at Universitas Islam Indonesia . He has also worked in number of other roles, including Public Relations Officer for a local restaurant, Personal Assistant in a Milk Factory. As a result, he has a vast array of contacts throughout Jogja. Wawan enjoys the dynamic lifestyle in Jogja with its diverse mixture of cultures and arts. He will be your main point of contact while on program.
Indonesia Representative in Australia
Jajang Nurdiansyah (JJ) Administrative Officer
JJ is based in Jogja and manages the financial reports, database maintenance and almost everything else computer related. He is an outgoing kind of guy who enjoys mountaineering among other hobbies and is literally always smiling (almost, anyway). You will meet him during your orientation of Jogja.
Tusty (Ijo) Program Officer
Tusty is a long-time resident of Jogja. She has a degree in English literature from Gadjah Mada University and has worked in marketing and as a teacher and has been involved in a number of performances around Jogja. Tusty has a strong interest in social work and community development and she has a heap of contacts in these areas! Tusty will also help you get settled in when you arrive in Jogja.
Didik Saputra Field Officer
Didik is a typical happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He is great for helping people to get to know Jogja. He will take you around to experience the real Jogja, from historic sites to pubs and cafes. You will the many sides of Jogja with Didik! |
